ADP Lightspeed Announces Alliance with 50 Below to Develop Integrated Web Sites
for Powersports Dealers
SALT LAKE CITY, UT January 30, 2009 – ADP Lightspeed, a premier provider of Dealer Management Systems (DMS) for Powersports dealerships, today announced its alliance with 50 Below, the leading and award-winning designer of state-of-the-art dealer web sites and ecommerce solutions.
ADP and 50 Below are creating the most robust integration between a dealer’s website and their DMS available in the Powersports industry. This will allow dealers to maximize the power of the Internet and reduce redundant steps in updating information between dealers’ DMS and website.
Currently there are plans for two phase integration.
Phase 1 will be launched at the annual powersports dealer show in Indianapolis, February 13-16.
Phase 2 is scheduled to be launched in the 2nd quarter 2009.
Web sites have become business requirements for powersports dealers with the majority of customers visiting a dealer’s web site before visiting the physical store. More consumers are looking to the web to research products, check locations, contact dealers and make purchases. Consumers rely on dealer web sites to have up-to-date and reliable information on their site. By building integration between the data in the DMS and the web site, ADP Light speed/50 Below online offerings will deliver fresh content for consumers automatically.
“In a tough selling environment powersports dealerships are looking for new revenue opportunities,” said Laurn Rice, General Manager of ADP Lightspeed. “The integration that this alliance will provide will open the web’s vast marketplace for all dealers to capture more business from the web.”
“Dealers can’t let information on their web sites get stale,” commented Doran Nurmi Product Manager for 50 Below. “Yet most dealers lack the resources to dedicate someone to update inventory information from their DMS to their web site. This alliance allows us to do the integrations automatically for the dealers saving them time and giving them the ability to capitalize on Internet opportunities.”
This exclusive relationship will give dealers the ability to integrate inventory, pricing, order processing and order tracking. ADP Lightspeed’s dealer management system will push inventory information from the dealer’s database directly to the web site, allowing customers searching the web to see all available products and, if the dealer wants, in stock levels. 50 Below web sites will display information in the dealer’s customized web layout. As web orders are placed the orders with be sent to ADP Lightspeed DMS where the ordering process can be completed. All accounting and inventory management will then be completed in the management system.
